Even switched from auto to on so it wont switch off, it still wont play any other way than in sound control panel literally testing speakers to ping them for seeing which speakers are workingOn my xonar DX there was a setting called speaker fill. This function still works perfectly for pinging the sub in sound control panel. I know this because on auto mode, the subwoofer will be a red light from inactivity but turns on automatically at the slightest pre amp activity even if it's too quite for you to hear. Nothing in chrome, hulu wouldnt work and gaming wouldn't even make the subwoofer play at all. This time I'm doing pc only to studio monitors and sub, and reciever will do tv speakers only until I get another class T amp for the tv.Anyway point is: in xear audio center I can click the subwoofer icon for my other asus xonar card called ASUS XONAR SE and it will buzz the subwoofer and pump some bassThere is no other possible way on this sound card for me to get the subwoofer to play.
There might be no other way. Either I have to watch dozens of youtube reviews hoping I watch someone set up from start to finish an audio system with one of these cards missing no detail whatsoever even in audio settings and see how THEY did it. There may be no other way, and i may need a new sound card entirely if there isn't a way to activate speaker fillBy the way every guide on google says go to the sound icon on taskbar right click go to windows sound control panel find your speakers then right click it click properties then find a tab that says audio enhancements (this tab doesn't exist for me) then click speaker fill.That wasn't how I did it on the xonar DX which has an entirely different interface than this working sound card and audio functions are labeled differently. Either they mislabeled it or it doesn't exist.I can use the other sound card and subwoofer works but then my left and right channel wont work unless they are max volume then I need to use my reciever as a sound processor again just to turn my volume down from the reciever itself with max volume in windows.The sound card im using now that wont work with subwoofer works perfectly find at low volumes with speaker volumes on left and right matching meaning my other sound card is legit broken, this one is not but I'm too retarded to figure out how to get the subwoofer to work any other way other than pinging the subwoofer in sound control panel from sound card driver control software.
